Webloyalty Continues European Growth In Paris

NORWALK, CT – September 23, 2008 – Webloyalty.com, a leading provider of incremental revenue for online businesses, today announced its continued growth in Europe with the opening of a new office in Paris. The announcement comes one year after Webloyalty opened its office in London. WL France SAS will provide solutions for e-commerce sites operating in France to leverage their existing business models to generate additional revenue.

Forrester Research European e-commerce senior analyst Victoria Bracewell Lewis stated the following in her report entitled, "Trends 2008: European eCommerce and Online Retail" (January 2008), "While social computing and Web 2.0 took off in a significant way in 2007 and have a part to play in the coming year, the real riches to be gained in Europe are straightforward – surging numbers of consumers will continue to go shopping online for everything from eco-friendly white goods to purely digital content to luxury products. For those retailers and consumer product brands that focus their efforts on improving their e-commerce presence across all channels in 2008, the payoff will be immediate. Online retailers and consumer product brands that augment and enhance site functionality, provide real-time transparent inventory and offer a wide variety of shipping and payment options will be the big winners in 2008."

"Webloyalty carefully selects locations for new offices where we see active and engaged online communities of merchants and consumers. The European online industry is exploding. We want to be there and we want our clients to reap the benefits. France was a natural choice for our second European office," said Rick Fernandes, CEO and co-founder, Webloyalty.

Consumers shopping online with Webloyalty clients in France have the option to join ‘Remises & Réductions,' a version of Webloyalty's Shopper Discounts & Rewards. Remises & Réductions is a membership program that offers cash back discounts of up to 35 percent off online purchases. Program members can receive discounts from French retailers such as Décathlon, 3suisses and Surcouf and other popular e-tail sites. New program members also receive a EUR 10 cash back voucher towards their next online purchase from a Webloyalty client.

"French e-commerce sales grew 34 percent from 2006 to 2007 according to ACSEL, the French e-commerce association. We believe that growth will continue and that the next few years will be exciting times to be in the ecommerce industry in France," said Andrew Buckman, managing director, WL France SAS. "Now is the right time for Webloyalty to be expanding into the French marketplace."
